How online classes work... 

  • Assignments are posted on Blackboard for convenient access 24/7.
  • Asynchronous learning, no specified "meeting" times. Log on from home, work, or on the road.
  • Weekly assignments due every Monday by noon. More about due dates.
  • Students and instructors communicate and exchange assignments via email. We want you to use your the email system within Blackboard. 

    However, you will not have access to Blackboard until your class start date.  Make the initial contact with your instructor one week prior to start date using the Maricopa email account.     Click here to learn more about activating your Maricopa Gmail account.
AlertCAUTIONS:
  • Due to the accelerated nature of these classes, students are cautioned to gradually increase the number of online classes taken simultaneously.
  • Students without strong time management, reading, computer and Internet skills should strongly consider the on-campus programs.
  • All students considering online classes should take the Online Readiness Quiz
  • All students must have textbook at start date. Contact the Business Institute at 480.425.6910 for information on required texts for each class. start date-no extensions will be granted.
