Fastrack is
an accelerated series of 11 integrated, practical, and project-oriented
courses designed to develop the skills and aptitudes you need in
today’s competitive business environment. Both a 1-year Business Certificate and
a two-year Associate degree program
are available.
We build on strengths and help you develop new skills which deliver
immediate value at work. Instructors are chosen for their real-world
expertise and facilitation skills. Project-based assignments have
clear application on the job.
Fastrack classes are scheduled for working adults. Each 5-week
ON-CAMPUS course meets once per week for 4 hours at the SCC
Business Institute. Fastrack ONLINE courses are held entirely
online for 5 weeks. Materials and assignments are posted at our
web site for 24/7 access. Since there are no scheduled meetings
to attend you can study at your convenience. Each class is 3 credits.

The Fastrack Student |
According
to the National Center for Education Statistics:
- Over 40 percent of all undergraduates
are 24 years old or older. The majority of these students
are married with dependents other than the spouse. Nearly 50 percent are enrolled
in 2 year institutions.
- 75 percent hold a full
or part-time job during their enrollment
As
adult learners you expect to see immediate value for the time and

and future career paths. In your complex, complicated life it is
important that the educational institution you choose have flexible
scheduling and a service-oriented faculty and staff. However, you

this accelerated program, students complete hands-on projects that
develop new skills which deliver immediate value at work.Classes
are scheduled to meet the needs of working adults. Mix or match
the following 5-week class formats to complete your Certificate
in Business program in as little as 9 months
A 64-credit Associate degree is also available. Qualified students may also take
one or more classes a la carte.Business Fastrack is offered exclusively at the
Scottsdale Community College Business Institute, Raintree Exit west from the
Loop 101 [14350 North 87th Street] [map] or
Fastrack Online, education direct to your desktop, anytime! See the class schedule
for meeting days and times. Businesses are encouraged to host on-site Fastrack
classes. This option is available for groups of 20 or more.

Efficient
|
The
Fastrack Certificate Program consists of 11 accelerated courses
designed to develop the skills and aptitudes required by business
for job advancement and expanded career opportunities. Each 3-credit
course meets for 5 weeks.

Effective |
Courses
are designed for working adults by industry professionals and experienced
faculty. Practical application of study concepts and skills to today's
workplace. Throughout the program you will develop the following
skills essential in business today:
- communications (oral, written, presentation)
computers (Microsoft Office software-Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
student directed learning stressing teamwork and leadership problem-solving
and critical thinking effective resource allocation-time management
/ organization acquiring and interpreting information
- increased awareness of International business
issues and the multicultural workplace
Each project-oriented course includes both
individual and team projects to challenge personal competencies while
cultivating small group skill-building. Fastrack eliminates contrived
exams in favor of projects and exercises which develop real-world
skills and abilities you'll use on the job. Teams meet outside the
classroom either in person or virtually, to complete team projects.
Block programming allows you to move through Fastrack with a cohesive

One 3-credit Fastrack course costs less than 1 credit at the universities.
